Dismal - The Waltz Of Mind is an italian gothic/alternative band. 

The first official band's release has been issued in November 1998 on Pagan Records&Audioglobe dist., it has been called “Fiaba Lacrimevole - like a red bleeding rose in a glacial desert”. The debut album gets an immediate success and soon it became a top selling album. In September 2002 Dismal found a musical agreement with Aural Music Group, another record deal has been signed and together they established Dreamcell11, a division of Aural Music in order to follow and to promote the band artistically and commercially. >Within the end of 2002 the band entered the Gulp! Studios by Marco Calliari, sound engineer of the Italian pop band Subsonica in order to record their second cd called “Rubino Liquido - Three Scarlet Drops…” using a 12-elements orchestra.


Claustrophobic and essential drum parts, waltz and tango bit mixed with baroque and orchestral sound while the electric guitar parts are always more and more left on the background. After few months artists like Yendri (D), Ab Ovo (F) and Stark (AUS) started to remix three songs of this album, “Tre Stille Scarlatte”, “Niveare” and “Esse”, songs available on the deluxe version of the follower cd called “Miele Dal Salice” also on digital version. “Miele Dal Salice” is the third record issued in 2006, the band dedicated a lot of time to this record which is the most intense and bizarre cd they have released to date. On this new effort Rossana Landi (degreed in music) is the new lead singer, playing contrabass too. 

After a short but intense touring around Germany and Italy as well as on very important festivals like the Wave Gothic Treffen in Leipzig and Berlin with solar fake (D), Dismal took a break and (Afelio co-founder,male voice and guitar) left the band due to personal reasons. After this very long break the band decided to enter the studio again and this year 2013 it will see the light the brand new album called “Giostra di Vapore”. Now the band goes forward to create a new sound dimension fusing electronic sound with the classical music, simply modern and antique meets together for a sound similar to steampunk. Lyrics&inspiration are always focused on topics like social psychology, philosophy,poetry,art, alchemy and more spiritual themes.

Revenience is a modern metal band based in Bologna – Italy, currently in the roster of Sliptrick Records. The band takes its final shape in the end of 2014, during the recordings of their first album (Daedalum) from the work of musicians active for several years in various projects of the underground Italian metal scene.

Thanks to the heterogeneity and variety of their previous experiences, each member of the band contributed greatly with its own attitude and musical suggestions to the final sound of Revenience: progressive, gothic, symphonic metal and also electronic music influences are present, all elements contributing to the rich personality of their music.



Aggressive and articulated rhythmic patterns are merged with pervading sounds and atmospheric arpeggios, building up a textured background on which the versatility of Debora’s voice and the strength of Simone’s growl can reach their contrast-based full potential.

Two founding members of the band Beyond Forgiveness have

played together in bands for a
better part of 11 years, their firstband Hells Eden formed in 2004 and released a 5 song ep, after member changes and playing out live with local and national acts Hells Eden officially disbanded in 2008 the 2 members Greg Witwer and Richard Marcus kept in contact with each other. 

Their musical aspirations were very similar in the fact that Greg was heavily influenced in the power metal genre and Richard was heavily influenced in the gothic metal genre but both had one big thing they agreed on, they both aspired to play in a female fronted style band, Richard was playing with a band at the time called Anifornum and after the disbanding of Hells Eden called Greg and told him that the current project had the pieces in place to see their vision full circle, Greg originally joined Anifornum as the bass player and after the 2nd guitarist left moved with ease into the second guitarist slot, the band officially changed their name to Beyond Forgiveness and symphonic gothic bliss was born, we started recording our debut album but never put all the parts in place to release it, their fellow founding member and lead vocalist Lynn Brown left the band in 2013 and again it appeared that Beyond Forgiveness would no longer be. Turn forward the year 2014 both members had decided that what they envisioned and what they had put together with Lynn and their drummer Mike Bulach was just to good to let die so both guitarists started jamming together again. 

They were contacted through their then keyboardist of a female vocalist who sent them a rough recording of a Within Temptation song titled "angels" and 2 minute clip of the classical song "o mio babbino caro". Both knew that minute this was the person they had to have as their frontwoman. To their pleasant surprise it was the engineer Talia Hoit who had helped them several years earlier in the recording of their first full length cd with Lynn and Mike, truth be told they had asked her several times about playing keyboards in the project but timing was wrong. 

The pieces were again falling in the right place, their final goal was to bring back the original drummer of the project Mike Bulach after several months of text messages and a little begging their vision was once again full circle. 

Now with their vision of symphonic mastery and the fantastic orchestrations by Talia, with the departure of their keyboardist, they are now recording their first true full length album tentatively titled The Ferrymans Shore.

Formed in the late 90s, Lycanthia are a 6 piece Gothic/Death Doom Metal band from Sydney, Australia.


The popularity of Lycanthia's live shows, along with their self-titled demo, established the band in the Australian Metal Underground. Their first full length album 'Myriad', saw them develop their musical style with greater maturity, creativity and originality.

Their next release, an EP titled 'Within The Walls', further cemented their place as pioneers of their genre. The song 'Lost' peaked at #11 on the 'triple j' Australian Metal Charts within the first week of release.

April 2012 marked the release of Lycanthia's full length album 'Oligarchy', in which they have sculpted their reactions to existence and the world into a musical expression of harsh, bleak reality. The album was quickly picked up by Green Media in Australia and is due to be re-released early 2013 through Hypnotic Dirge Records in digipak format.

The success of Lycanthia has continued to grow with regular radio airplay and live performances alongside local and international acts.
Their music can be described as dark, aggressive and emotional sound-scapes fused with classical and rock elements. Consisting of Grim Male and Dual Female Vocals, Violin, Keyboards, Guitars and Drums.

4Order was founded in year 1999 by vocalist Ozzie Rissanen and drummer Randy G, with a vision to crossbreed industrial and power metal. Guitarist Kalle Vuorinen joined in, also composing music to Ozzie's lyrics. In summer 2003 mezzo soprano Marie Helsingfors, guitarist Pasi Juvonen and drummer Ville Matilainen joined the band, and 4Order started creating its own unique music-style. Bass player Norman Bass joined the band a year later, and since 2004 4Order creates its music by the band members present. The debut album The Journal was released in 2006, and single Angry spirits 2007. In summer 2009 4Order jumped to position #17 on the official Finnish download chart. The name AEVUM summarizes the meaning of music, the research, and the evolving of the band.

AEVUM translated from Latin, is the Angel of Judgment, the greek aeon, that marks the end of a known order of things and the coming of a great change, of a new system.
Their music is a costantly moving towards the union between the human and the divine, between opposites, between male and female, between positive and negative, in a genre that is the union between classical music and gothic-metal.

The project shapes in the late 2007 and the early 2008 from the encounter between the singer Evelyn Moonl and the pianist Richard. Over the years, the line-up has seen the alternation of new singers, guitarists and drummers, but since two years the line-up is complete and consists of 7 young musicians. The peculiarity of the group is the uses of texts sung in different languages with lyrical voice, clean, growl and scream, and researched music.

Currently, AEVUM have two EPs, Celestial Angels, released in 2008, and Nova Vita in 2012, both self-produced.
At times melancholic, at time powerful, their concerts are an unforgettable experience for the great stage presence and the emotional charge contained in their songs.

Having risen out of different bands and backgrounds around Turnhout, Belgium, Vortigyn leaps forward by the end of 2011. At that time, Ester (vocals), Joris (grunts and guitar), Wannes (bass guitar), and Günther (drums) welcome Cisse (guitar) into their band.
Song writing is blossoming in early 2012, and, as a result, they try to define and re-define their sound. While definitely female fronted and surely metal, they incorporate some influences that are not immediately 
 associated with most female fronted metal bands. That is, Vortigyn is less of a gothic metal band, and tries to mix different ingredients, such as: power riffs, heavy sound, grooves, experimental and rock influences, while still using classical high female vocals and deep male grunts. It's more Lacuna Coil or even Evanescence than Nightwish, so to speak. Mostly, Vortigyn is a band that is interested in melody and songs as a whole. 



Finally, having played their newest songs for several audiences in the late summer of 2012, Vortigyn decides the time is right for a debut EP. In October 2012, the band travels to the north of the Netherlands, where they spend a week in the double impact productions studio. The result is this self-titled first EP: Vortigyn.

The first thing that springs to mind is, “Lachaise...how the hell do you pronounce that?”. At least it’s not yet another English word, recalling as it does the famous Parisian Père Lachaise cemetery.
Established in 2007 following the combination of various projects, the band published its first album “Silent cries for help” in June 2008, produced by the record label MP&Records. That same year, the
band was selected to open the Italian tour of Christian Death, a legendary US gothic rock band.
Despite various line-up changes, keyboard player and leading composer Niklas “Suspiria” Goottilainen has always stayed on. For him, “you can overlap any type of sound , perform any type of virtuoso feat, but melody must reign supreme, with no half-measures”.
One of the characteristics of the band’s live performances is the absence of a bass guitar. When asked “how come?”, the guitarist Gezwind P. Vingerstaal answers: “We’ve never felt the bass guitar to be essential to our genre. We use 7- and 8-strings guitars and 88 keys keyboards, and we just don’t feel it’s necessary for now”.
In its current and by now well established line-up, Lachaise is about to publish its second album “A state of Oblivion” with the Revalve Records label, established by former member and founder of the Theatres Des Vampires, Rob Cufaro. The album is to be released in September 2012. Ranging from rock to metal, gothic to dark, when asked the classical question “How would you define your genre?”, this is how they reply: “We just make music…you decide!”

SACRED GROOVE stands for energetic and ear catching songs with fat groove. The musical style is based anywhere between heavy rock and melodic metal. Lead singer Isabel´s exceptionally vibrant voice guarantees uniqueness. SACRED GROOVE.´s trademarks are bombastic guitar riffs, a grooving rhythm & bass section, symphonic key and piano-parts and multifarious, emotional vocals.

Stefan Deiners (drums) and Dennis Meivogel (guitars) founded the band in the nineties but in 2006 SACRED GROOVE was resurrected with the idea of a powerful female fronted melodic metal band. In the following 3 years Chris Schlotfeldt (bass) and F.J. Püllen (keys) were recruited to the band. New material was released in 2009 on the self titled debut record SACRED GROOVE. The new album received fantastic reviews. Finally in 2010 Isabel Willenberg joined the band as lead singer and the new album “Needful Things” was released in fall 2011.

SACRED GROOVE was nominated for the german Rock and Pop Awards in 2010 and performed live in the finals in Wiesbaden. In 2011 SACRED GROOVE was finalist in the worldwide Emergenza Festival Competition and performed a groundbreaking show at the Cologne Live Music Hall.

Mit viel Energie und eingängigen Songs bewegen sich SACRED GROOVE im Spannungsfeld zwischen gitarrenlastigem Rock, Melodic Metal und einem Hauch von Gothic.

In den frühen neunziger Jahren von Stefan Deiners (Drums) und Dennis Meivogel (Guitar) gegründet und im Jahr 2006 musikalisch wiedererweckt, fand SACRED GROOVE 2008 die erste komplette Besetzung. Mit Chris Schlotfeldt (Bass) und Jüppi Püllen (Keys) waren die richtigen Musiker gefunden, um SACRED GROOVE neues Leben einzuhauchen. Im Jahr 2009 wurde umfangreich neues Material geschrieben, welches auf dem Debutalbum "SACRED GROOVE" Ende 2009/Anfang 2010 veröffentlicht wurde. Anfang 2010 stieß die Sängerin Isabel Willenberg zu SACRED GROOVE.

Nach positiver Resonanz erscheint in Kürze mit "Needful Things" eine komplett überarbeitete CD, die neben vielen Songs vom 2009/2010er Debut vier brandneue Tracks enthält und mit ihren symphonisch anmutenden Kompositionen, gefühlvollen Balladen und energetischen Rocksongs die enorme Bandbreite und Spielfreude von SACRED GROOVE belegt.
