The band was formed 4 years ago as a personal project of the Singer Thanya Santos. At the beginning it was a studio project, where all the music and lyrics where composed by herself and Lyricist Francisco Javier Pastor. She recorded a studio album which will be available at the end of september. A first single called "The voice" has been presented in orther to introduce metal fans to the story. Saltimbankya is not only a band, it's also a rock opera who's telling a story.
Presented as a circus drama, Saltimbankya tells the story of Geraldine, a white face clown who suffers a big depression because of her circus partners and boss, who are bullying her all the time. Her only friend is Esmeraldine, her alterego, a colorfull character who acts during all the story as her conscience.
